Within Future Inn Cardiff Bay, Thomas Restaurant and Bar serves great British food with a Contemporary Welsh Flavour. Romeiro prawns
tiger prawns cooked in red onion,chilli and fontina cheese gratin presented in a sweet romeiro pepper
Welsh boar wrapped in bacon
portion of local pate wrapped in bacon served warm with a home-made salsa
Mains
Cod and pancetta fishcakes
two deep fried fishcakes topped with a poached egg and served with wilted spinach and tomato salad garnish
Duck breast
pan fried duck breast stuffed with black pudding, with bacon saute potatoes, accompanied by a red wine jus
Desserts
Affagato
delightful Italian dessert-take a espresso in glass and add a scoop of vanilla icecream
Chocolat fondant
a self saucing rich chocolate dessert served with icecream or cream

Have had lunch and dinner here in the last few days and we love coming here. Service always excellent, and I'm a big fan of the dessert menu. Roast cod loin is a fave. The voucher makes a two-course meal fantastic value, so get in while you can!

Maybe it was an 'off day' but the serivce was terrible - the starter we had ordered was forgotton so we ended up with the main course as we were starving and had already waited 30 mins, and we were the only couple in the restaurant - food was good though!

Pleasant, friendly service, generous portions. a lovely informal atmosphere. varied menu with some unique dishes, ddessert plate a fave!

Food is delicious. Lamb shank is a must! Nice surroundings but not very busy.

we must have had an 'off day'as well. Went for Sunday lunch, took the wrong order, meat on the platter was very unspectacular, very microwaved and dried up, rest was cold and mainly consisted of many new potatoes. Been good before but poor this time.
