Hancock
More superheroes! But Hancock (Will Smith) is of a different
breed. He's not interested in truth, justice and the American
Way, he just wants to get drunk and ogle women. And when
he tries to help, he usually causes more damage than he
prevents, resulting in the general ambivalence/downright
hatred of the people of LA whom he's trying to protect. One
day he saves a PR executive (the brilliant Jason Bateman of
Juno and Arrested Development) who decides to repay him
by giving Hancock a PR makeover.
This goes along quite well until another superhero enters the
fray, at which point the whole thing goes off the rails into a
rather pointless mumbo-jumbo storyline about Hancock's origins.
Sadly, this really lets down a promising premise.
